The Lord Wedgwood Foundation needed a new logo for their fundraising efforts. Most importantly, they did not want the logo to resemble their Wedgwood China branding. The colors were utilized from the original Wedgwood brand but none of its iconography or typography was carried over. The goal of the Lord Wedgwood Foundation was to raise funds to facilitate the placement of an AED (Automatic Electrocardio Defibrilator) in every public school and/or public place in the United States. With that in mind, the correlation of the form of a W and the form of a normal sinus rhythm waveform was self evident.
